Minimal Guest Bedroom Design in Mohammadpur, Dhaka

DIT Studio designed this minimal guest bedroom for a 1075 ft² apartment in Mohammadpur, Dhaka. The compact room achieves a sense of calm and spaciousness through a restrained palette of soft sage green, warm walnut, and white, enhanced by perforated panel wardrobes, a wave-textured headboard wall, and a slim built-in study desk. Every element has been carefully scaled to ensure the room remains open and welcoming for guests while providing all the essentials.

You have limited space at home does not mean that you will want any less for your guests. For them, you will need a minimal guest bedroom. The room is designed with a neutral color palette, featuring soft whites, light greys, and natural wooden tones that create a calming and inviting atmosphere. The bed, with its grey upholstered headboard and crisp white bedding, promises a restful night’s sleep for your guests. A cozy brown throw blanket adds a touch of warmth and comfort, making them feel right at home.

Above the bed, a textured minty green accent wall adds a subtle yet sophisticated touch to the space. This thoughtful design element not only enhances the room’s aesthetic but also provides a focal point that draws the eye. The wooden desk with a white top, accompanied by a sleek white chair, offers a perfect spot for your guests to catch up on work or enjoy a quiet moment with a book. The desk is adorned with a small plant, a laptop, and a book, adding a personal touch that makes the space feel lived-in and welcoming.

The large mirror with a wooden frame on one wall helps to make the room appear more spacious, while the built-in wooden shelves next to it provide ample storage for your guests’ belongings. The abstract art on the wall adds a pop of color and visual interest, making the room feel vibrant and dynamic.

Your minimal guest bedroom is designed with empathy and care, ensuring that every detail contributes to a comfortable and enjoyable stay for your guests. It’s a space where they can relax, unwind, and feel truly at home.

Sage-Green Headboard Wall with Gold Sconce and Study Desk

The headboard wall features two large sage-green wave-textured panels set within white moulded frames, creating a tranquil focal point. A slim gold linear wall sconce is mounted between the panels, providing warm bedside lighting. The bed has a grey diamond-tufted upholstered headboard and is dressed in white and chocolate-brown linens with grey and white accent cushions. A small white bedside table with a fresh flower arrangement sits next to the bed. To the right, a wall-mounted walnut-and-white study desk holds a tablet, an open magazine, a glass vase with greenery, and a stationery holder. Above, white perforated-panel upper cabinets with LED under-lighting provide discreet storage. A wall-mounted AC and a white-and-bronze ceiling fan maintain climate comfort.

Full-Length Mirror, Walnut Overhead Cabinets, and Entry Door

This angle reveals the wall opposite the bed. A full-length walnut-framed mirror reflects the sage-green headboard wall and the bed, visually expanding the room. Beside it, a walnut open-shelf display unit with LED-lit niches holds decorative items including a perfume bottle, paint brushes, and a small vintage alarm clock. Walnut raised-panel overhead cabinets with dark metal handles span the full width of the wall above the white paneled entry door, maximizing vertical storage. The white perforated-panel wardrobe is partially visible to the left, and a sage-green vertical panel flanks the window area to the right.

Closer View of Mirror, Door, and Abstract Artwork

A closer perspective highlights the walnut-framed full-length mirror reflecting the headboard wall, sconce, and bed. The white paneled entry door sits beneath the walnut overhead cabinets, and a bold abstract painting in black, orange, red, and white tones hangs to the left of the wardrobe, injecting a vibrant artistic accent into the otherwise neutral room. The walnut study desk with its tablet and glass-vase plant is visible in the lower left corner, and the white perforated-panel wardrobe appears on the far left.

Perforated-Panel Wardrobe with Study Desk Below

This view focuses on the white perforated-panel wardrobe that sits above the study desk zone. The wardrobe doors feature a delicate triangular perforated pattern and are recessed within slim white frame panels. Warm LED strip lighting beneath the wardrobe illuminates the walnut desk surface, where a stationery holder, an open magazine, a tablet, and a small glass vase with greenery are neatly arranged. The bold abstract painting in orange, black, and white hangs to the right, and the sage-green headboard panel and gold sconce are partially visible on the left. The white-and-bronze ceiling fan and track spotlights maintain even lighting overhead.

Wide Wardrobe and Study Corner with Abstract Art

The widest view of the wardrobe-and-study wall shows the full span of the white perforated-panel cabinets stretching across the upper section, with LED under-lighting casting a warm glow onto the walnut desk below. The abstract painting hangs prominently to the right, adding color and personality. The sage-green headboard panel is visible on the far left, and the walnut overhead cabinets above the entry door appear on the far right. Track spotlights on the ceiling supplement the white ceiling fan for balanced illumination throughout the compact space.
