Interior Design Package Price in Bangladesh: What Should Be Included?

An interior design package price in Bangladesh is useful only when the package clearly states what you will receive. Before comparing totals, check the rooms covered, design drawings, material specifications, furniture dimensions, execution work, supervision, delivery, installation, exclusions, payment stages, change rules, and handover documents. Two packages with the same name can contain very different scopes.

There is no single standard package that suits every Bangladeshi home. A design-only service, a furniture package, and a complete turnkey service solve different problems. The safest choice is the package whose written scope matches your flat, lifestyle, existing site condition, and level of support.

Quick answer: what should a complete package show?

A clear home interior package should answer these questions before you approve it:

  • Which rooms, measured areas, and work items are included?
  • Which drawings, mood boards, 3D views, and revisions will be delivered?
  • Which construction and building-services works are included?
  • Which furniture pieces, dimensions, materials, finishes, and hardware apply?
  • Who handles site supervision, transport, installation, and cleaning?
  • What is excluded or supplied directly by the homeowner?
  • How are additions and changes approved and priced?
  • What payment milestones, completion stages, and handover records apply?

What does an interior design package price actually mean?

A package price is a commercial offer for a defined group of services and products. It may cover only professional design, only selected furniture, or the coordinated delivery of a finished interior. The word “package” does not prove that everything is included.

The price depends on scope. Apartment size matters, but it is only one input. Room count, storage needs, existing civil condition, custom furniture, material choices, hardware, lighting, kitchen and bathroom work, access restrictions, and the amount of site coordination can all change what must be delivered. Our detailed guide to what affects interior design cost in Bangladesh explains these variables further.

Three common service models to compare

Package names vary between companies. Use the following models as a comparison framework, not as universal definitions.

Service modelUsually intended to coverConfirm before signing
Design-onlySpace planning, concept, drawings, selections, and visualisationSite measurement, number of views, technical drawings, revisions, and execution support
Design plus selected productionDesign with agreed custom furniture or room-specific workExact furniture list, dimensions, internal fittings, finishes, delivery, installation, and excluded site work
Turnkey interior deliveryCoordinated design, procurement or production, site execution, installation, and handoverEvery room, trade, material, appliance, loose item, approval, and responsibility in writing

A turnkey offer can reduce the number of parties you manage, but “turnkey” still needs a defined boundary. Read our guide to choosing a turnkey interior design company in Bangladesh before treating the label as proof of completeness.

1. A measured, room-by-room scope

The package should list every included space, such as the foyer, living room, dining area, bedrooms, kitchen, bathrooms, balcony, family space, or prayer corner. It should then list the work within each room.

“Master bedroom interior” is too broad on its own. A useful scope might separately identify the bed, bedside tables, wardrobe, dressing unit, study desk, wall treatment, ceiling, lights, curtains, paint, electrical changes, and installation. If one item is not included, the exclusion should be visible.

Ask whether measurements are provisional or based on a completed site survey. If possession has not been handed over, confirm how the package will be adjusted after final measurement.

2. Design deliverables and approval stages

A professional package should explain how an idea becomes an approved plan. Confirm whether it includes:

  • A discovery meeting and lifestyle brief.
  • Existing-condition measurement and plan.
  • Furniture layout and circulation planning.
  • Mood boards, colours, and material direction.
  • 3D views for agreed spaces.
  • Ceiling, lighting, electrical, and plumbing drawings where relevant.
  • Furniture elevations and internal storage planning.
  • A schedule of finishes, fixtures, and hardware.
  • Client review stages and the number of revisions.

The purpose is not to collect attractive images. It is to make decisions before production and site work begin. Ask which drawings will be issued for execution and which images are illustrative only.

3. An itemised BOQ or equivalent schedule

A Bill of Quantities, commonly called a BOQ, organises measured work into descriptions, quantities, and rates. The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors’ New Rules of Measurement provide measurement guidance for cost management in building work. A residential interior proposal may use a simpler format, but the principle remains valuable: the work should be measurable and understandable.

For example, a wardrobe entry can state its dimensions, board or panel type, finish, shutter arrangement, hinges, channels, handles, internal divisions, accessories, delivery, and installation. A single line that says “premium wardrobe” does not allow a fair comparison.

Use our planned interior design BOQ guide for Bangladesh to review quantities and specifications line by line.

4. Material and hardware specifications

Ask the provider to identify each approved material by a clear specification or sample reference. For substituted or unavailable materials, the agreement should explain who approves an alternative and whether the price or schedule changes.

Avoid comparing “standard,” “premium,” and “luxury” tiers unless each tier has a written specification. These labels are marketing language until the material schedule gives them meaning.

5. Custom furniture details

For every major piece, confirm external dimensions, internal layout, finish, hardware, accessories, electrical integration, and installation. A wardrobe with shelves only is not equivalent to one with drawers, hanging zones, pull-out accessories, and integrated lighting.

Also confirm whether appliances, mattresses, loose chairs, sofas, curtains, rugs, artwork, mirrors, and decorative objects are included. Homeowners often assume that anything shown in a 3D view is part of the price. The written schedule should settle that question.

6. Site work, building services, and safety responsibilities

Interior work can affect electrical systems, plumbing, ventilation, fire safety, and existing building elements. Bangladesh’s National Building Code 2020 establishes minimum standards covering building design, materials, construction, services, safety, and alterations. Your package should state which qualified parties design, execute, inspect, and approve relevant work.

Confirm whether the scope includes demolition, masonry, waterproofing, plumbing relocation, electrical rewiring, distribution-board work, air-conditioning preparation, exhaust routes, ceiling work, and final testing. Never assume a furniture-focused offer includes these trades.

Ask the apartment management committee about work hours, lift use, material movement, debris removal, and any required permissions. These conditions can affect logistics even when the interior scope stays the same.

7. Supervision, logistics, and handover

A package should identify who coordinates workers, checks samples, records progress, and resolves site conflicts. It should state whether transport, installation, protection, debris removal, and final cleaning are included.

At handover, ask for the agreed records, keys, spare materials, and written service or warranty terms. Do not assume every product carries the same coverage.

8. Exclusions, variations, and payment milestones

Clear exclusions protect both homeowner and provider. Common questions include whether the proposal covers appliances, sanitary fixtures, air conditioners, imported accessories, loose furniture, building fees, utility charges, taxes, or repairs to hidden site defects. The answer can vary, so it must be written.

A variation is a change after the approved scope. The agreement should require a written description, price effect, schedule effect, and client approval before extra work proceeds. This prevents a casual site request from becoming an unexpected bill.

Payments should connect to defined milestones, not unclear dates. Ask what evidence marks design approval, procurement, production, installation, and handover. For a deeper checklist, see how to compare interior design quotations in Bangladesh.

A simple package comparison scorecard

Score each proposal only after every bidder has responded to the same brief.

If one column contains repeated blanks, its low total may reflect missing information rather than better value.

Warning signs in a package offer

Pause and ask for clarification when you see:

  • One total with no room or item breakdown.
  • “Premium materials” with no specifications or samples.
  • 3D images that are not connected to an included item list.
  • Furniture without dimensions or internal arrangements.
  • No exclusions, revision limit, or variation process.
  • Verbal promises that do not appear in the proposal.
  • No named responsibility for electrical, plumbing, or waterproofing work.

Clarity is not an optional extra. It is part of the value you are buying.

How to choose the right package for your budget

Begin with a written priority list: essential rooms, daily storage, cooking habits, maintenance expectations, preferred completion stage, and items you already own. Then ask providers to price the same baseline scope and show optional upgrades separately.

If your budget is limited, reduce scope thoughtfully before reducing safety or hidden construction quality. Our companion guide offers practical low-budget interior design tips for Bangladesh without pretending every finish deserves equal investment.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a standard interior design package price in Bangladesh?

No universal package price applies to every home. Scope, measurements, design work, furniture, materials, building services, site condition, and delivery responsibilities vary. Compare written inclusions rather than package names alone.

Is a per-square-foot package enough for comparison?

It can be an early reference, but it is not enough for final approval. Ask what area is being measured, which work is included, which material specification applies, and how custom items are counted.

Does a turnkey package include appliances and decor?

Not automatically. Some providers include selected items, while others exclude them. Treat only the signed item schedule and exclusions as authoritative.

Should I choose the lowest package total?

Choose the clearest proposal that fits your required outcome and budget. A lower total may be valid, or it may omit design, trades, materials, supervision, delivery, or handover support.
